Owing to internal colleague progression, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join our friendly team in either Little Barford or Swindon!

 

You will be responsible for category management, ensuring short and long term value for the business.

 

If you have a minimum of five years' experience of high value strategic sourcing, and are Chartered (MCIPS) then we'd love to hear from you!

 

About the Role

We need the successful candidate to:

  • Manage relationships to build effective customer relations with both RWE colleagues and suppliers
  • Generate transparency and overview on spend and savings potential within the categories
  • Lead on complex supplier negotiations
  • Work with the business to develop and confirm category demand plans
  • Manage sourcing processes
  • Lead the Electrical Category

 
Skills required

  • Able to influence and manage across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Able to multi-task, managing multiple projects at any one time
  • Knowledge of procurement within the energy sector would be advantageous
  • Experience of working at a high level within a large company structure
  • Able to lead tender processes and negotiate robust contracts using NEC templates
  • An expert understanding of goods/service supply markets including cost and value drivers in the supply chain
